Heading to the NI International Airshow and wondering about the traffic and transport arrangements? Maybe you live locally and want to know what’s happening on your doorstep or you’re travelling to join us and not sure what the best way to get there is? Here’s some travel and transport FAQs to help you plan your journey.

Traffic &Transport Information

Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2024

Event starts both days at 11am. See schedule for individual timings.

Parking is available in public car parks at Dunluce, East Strand and Landsdowne.

There are additional parking facilities at:

  • The Pitts, Coast Road as a Park & Walk.
  • The Warren, Old Coach Rd, Portstewart as a Park & Stroll.

We highly recommend using the Park & Ride facility, which operates from Rugby Avenue, Coleraine to Ballywillan Road (Mill Strand Primary School).

Saturday 8am – 10pm and Sunday 8am – 7pm.

Disabled parking is available at Juniper Hill. This must be pre-booked.

In addition to Sandhill Drive Air-de-Service, there are a limited number of designated pitches available at Rinagree (both disabled and non-disabled spaces available).

There will be no road closures in place, however, do allow extra time for any journey you may be making due to the expected increase in traffic on the roads around the Triangle area.

A Park & Ride will be in operation and to assist the smooth operation of this there will be restrictions put in place on the Gateside Road/Ballywillian Road but freedom of movement will be allowed for emergency services, Council vehicles, residents and carers/home help.

There will be stewards at Ballymacrea junction, Girona Avenue, Parker Avenue, Crocknamack Road and just after Loughanhill Industrial Estate

Bar the volume of traffic, there will be no impediment on any other roads within the area.

It is advised you allow extra time for any journey, where possible, due to the expected increase in traffic on the roads around the Triangle area.

Amenities

Public toilets are located at West Bay Car Park, Ballyreagh Golf Course and The Paddocks. There will also be a number of Portable toilets located throughout the main event space. 

Accessible Changing Units will be located at West Bay Car Park and Ballyreagh Golf Course. Disabled toilets are available at the disabled parking in Ballyreagh Road, West Bay Car Park and town centre toilet blocks.
