It is highly recommended that anyone travelling to the air show avail of the Translink train service which has been uplifted to accommodate the expected influx of visitors to this area. Translink are also offering tempting offers to member of the public heading to the event so with the price of fuel why not take them up on this offer!
If travelling to the air show by vehicle it is imperative that you use the Park & Ride service. This system is designed to alleviate congestion not only in Portrush and Portstewart but in the main arterial routes into the Triangle area and the outlying roads around Portrush such as Eglinton Street and Mark Street. If considering taking your own vehicle please be aware that some of the normal on-street parking arrangements in Portrush may not be available. All town centre car parks operate as normal.
If coming to the air show from Belfast direction you will be directed to a Park & Ride at Rugby Avenue Coleraine, BT52 1JL. Open from 10am to 7pm. Should you be coming from Londonderry direction you will be directed to a Park & Ride at the University of Ulster Coleraine, BT52 1SA. Open from 10am to 7pm. A third Park & Ride is available at The Warren, Portstewart, BT55 7HF, also open from 10am to 7pm.
If availing of the car parks within Portrush, you can follow the directional signage and walk a short distance to the shuttle bus pick up point at Beaghville Drive at Church Corner, Metropole and take the shuttle bus from here along the Coast Road or use the Promenade from West Bay for ease of access to walk to the exhibition areas.
There will also be 2 small accessible buses picking up at the different car parks around Portrush to assist patrons with mobility issues. However, please note that we expect heavy traffic around Portrush which these buses may get caught up in.
Park & Ride and shuttle bus drop off and collection points will be at Carrick Dhu Caravan Park, chicane at Juniper Hill Caravan Park and the front of the Paddocks.
We are no longer accepting pre-booking for disabled parking but please be aware there is additional disabled parking at West Bay and availability in all town centre car parks with accessible shuttle bus to the event space.
